In 2008, Dylan started an apprenticeship in upholstery at a well known upholstery shop in High st, Armadale. After a 5 year stint doing recovery and antique restoration, Dylan skipped around through some fantastic manufacturers throughout Melbourne, learning modern techniques from many brilliant upholsterers who were close to retirement age and were very willing to teach. In 2020, many upholsterers couldn’t work, including Dylan, so in 2021 he built a workbench for his shed and replaced his old air compressor and sewing machine, and started working from home.

Throughout his career, Dylan has had an eye for quality, style, and tradition. 15 years into the trade, Dylan is still getting his lines straight, his buttons deep, and is keeping his customers satisfied. Pictured here is Dylan at trade school in 2010.
